Let’s Talk Aphasia workshop was held May 4 with 16 participants (including some from outside of Manitoba) such as health care professionals, volunteers, caregivers, and university students. The morning portion explained what aphasia is, its causes and effects, and what it means for those who have it and those who are primary caregivers, family, friends and health care providers. The afternoon covered how a person can improve their ability to communicate with someone who has aphasia. Participants can attend the full day session or just the afternoon only.
